James Christensen Master copy

Master Copy Assignment

Alright, as scary as it is I have decided on the subject matter for my master copy assignment.  I am going to copy the James Chirstensen painting "angel unaware". Here it is:

Texture and layer assignment- The Genie

I used a lot of different layers and textures to create this Genie picture. I enjoyed myself a lot, although now that I am looking at other poeple's work I am afraid that I may have stayed too representational. I am happy with the result, and I guess in the end that is all that matters.

Apple project! I actually enjoyed painting with photoshop for the first time ever! I am very very excited about this project.  One thing I did struggle with was the background.  I had a really hard time leaving it white, but I really didn't think that it was necessary to do a whole background.

After spending hours in extreme frustration, I decided to junk the first master copy project and start a new one. After a few more hours of work (with a lot less frustration) I finished this :) Hopefully Brother Burr is okay with the switch.

Photoshop pencil drawing

Trying to make photoshop look  like a pencil/charcoal drawing = the most frustrating experience of my life.  This semester I am desperately trying to learn how to do art digitally.
